About Miss J. Brown

This is my seventh year as an educator in the Berrien County School System.  For five years, I taught first grade.  This year, I have been given another opportunity to teach math and science in second grade.  In December 2010, I graduated from Valdosta State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education.  Upon graduation, I continued my education at VSU.  In May 2012, I received my Master of Education Degree in Early Childhood Education.  I enjoy what I do and am grateful for having an opportunity to help equip students with the tools necessary to become successful individuals in the classroom as well as outside of the classroom.

Every day I enter the classroom, I work tirelessly to live out my teaching philosophy;  when instruction is tailored to fit each student individually, every student can benefit from it!  Every child is capable of learning.  As educators, we have to find the different modes of learning that help each child become successful!
