Behavior Plan

School Wide Behavior Management Plan

S – Stay Safe

T – Take Responsibility

A – Always Do My Best

R – Respect Myself, Others, and My School

For our classroom that means:

  • We will raise our hands to have a turn to talk.
  • We will listen and follow directions.
  • We will talk quietly.
  • We will use good manners.
  • We will take care of our things.
  • We will be nice to others.
  • We will do our best every day.

Each student will have 5 removable stars beside his/her name on the behavior chart. Students can get stars taken or added back throughout the day. Stars are taken when students do not comply with the rules.  Stars can be added back at the teacher’s discretion based on remediated behavior or for making good choices. Each day all students start over with five stars beside their name.  When students have 5 stars, but have gone above and beyond 5 stars, a sixth star may be given. When students end the day with a “Super Star” (sixth star), they get a treat.

1 Star taken   – Loss of recess (5 minutes)

2 Stars taken – Loss of recess (10 minutes)

3 Stars taken – Loss of recess (15 minutes)

4 Stars taken – Loss of recess (20 minutes) / Parent Phone Call

5 Stars taken – No recess / Parent Phone Call

Fun Day will be held every 4 weeks

1St Semester  (August- December)

75 stars or more – Students will earn Fun Day

74 stars or less – Students will lose Fun Day

2nd Semester  (January - May)

85 stars or more – Students will earn Fun Day

84 stars or less – Students will lose Fun Day

Students will automatically lose fun day privileges if they have an Office referral or Bus referral that results in a bus suspension.
